Arnold Palmer

Wouldn't it be great if politicians could get along like the flavors in this cocktail?  Lemonade reminds us to be resourceful:  when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.  Tea brings to mind the courage and sacrifices of the REAL tea party patriots.

Arnold Palmer
Makes 8 servings

This is the perfect drink to serve when your elderly relatives visit.  Not only will they like the golf tie-in, but it won't adversely affect their Type II diabetes.

8 orange-pekoe tea bags (e.g., Lipton)
1-1/2 qts. boiling water
1 pkt. (2 qt. size) sugar free lemonade mix (e.g., Crystal Light)
1-1/2 cups vodka

Place teabags in boiling water and let steep for 5 to 6 minutes.  Remove teabags.  Stir in iced tea mix.

Fill 3 qt. pitcher with ice.  Add iced tea mixture and vodka; stir.

Tips:
Substitute whiskey for vodka

Substitute regular iced tea for sugar-free iced tea.

Dedicated to my father, Roland A. Brandt.  He loves golf and he loves cocktails.
