Duncan Donut Holes

These simple donuts are as sweet as U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan

1 can (16.3 oz.) refrigerated biscuits
1 qt. hot (375°F) cooking oil
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. freshly ground cinnamon

Cut biscuits into quarters; roll into balls.

Fry dough balls in hot oil 2 minutes or until golden brown.  Remove from oil with slotted spoon to paper towel-lined plate.  Place hot donuts in paper bag filled with combined sugar and cinnamon.  Shake until coated.

Tip:
Don't crowd the donuts in the hot oil.  Four at a time works best.

Dedicated to Beverly Underwood, my Girl Scout leader and friend, who taught me how to make these.
